Fun at Springtime

Have you noticed that I only add a new post about once a month? Apparently we're not very exciting people.

Happy Easter to you! Hopefully you had a lovely holiday. We celebrated our risen Lord with chicken enchiladas, of all things. And the night before, we visited Hollywood for the very first time, and saw Meet the Robinsons at the El Capitan, and then checked out the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater, the Kodak Theater, and about 25 or 30 sidewalk crazies (aka, performers) in a unique variety of costumes. (The Cat in the Hat was there, along with lightsaber-dueling Jack Sparrow, and balloon-animal-maker Cinderella, and unnamed Sparkle Outfit Girl, and a guy in a camp chair with a very complacent dog in his lap, holding out a tiny fishing rod with a little plastic fish on the end.) It was great! Our friend warned us ahead of time that Hollywood is "fun and dirty," and it turned out to be just as we had dreamed.

Tim only has two more weeks of classes! Then it's super-happy-fun break time! We have two, and possibly three, big plans for the break: (1) Tim's marathon (the Big Sur) up at Carmel on April 29th; (2) our Europe trip (London, Paris, and Rome) in early May; and possibly (3) a last-minute business trip to Maui in late April (for a new, huge-mongous, ultra-luxe resort, which will probably be the biggest, most expensive new resort community on the island for awhile, and which is very, very exciting for Boss to be consulting for).

Also, I had the opportunity to attend a book signing with my fave author, Jodi Picoult. She is upbeat and ridiculously eloquent, yet casual and accessible. She also has mad-curly red hair. Lots of fun. Like a typical enamored fan, I asked her a completely ludricous question while she was signing my copy of Nineteen Minutes. "So, you're from New England, do you like Ben & Jerry's? What's your favorite flavor??" Heh heh. She said coffee ice cream with Oreos, but as a B&J connoisseur, I can tell you that that variety doesn't exist. But I love 'er anyway.

Until later! Lots o' hugs.

P.S. Countdown to Killian (and Auntie-dom): approximately 16.5 weeks!!
P.P.S. Did you see that photo of Jodi up there? Yeah. I need Tangerine Photography BAD.
