Tim also passed JJ Abrams, and he literally bumped into Matt Groening, but didn't think of anything witty enough to say in time. There were lots of people in crazy costumes (pirates, superheroes, Star Wars characters, Blade Runner characters, Ghostbusters, etc.).
AND, Tim got to chat one-on-one with the great Syd Mead. (He was especially excited because he told Syd his name at the beginning of their conversation, and Syd remembered it later after talking to other people! Haha. Precious.)

Tim, you are famous. You and Syd are tight! Your excursion looks like it was fun. Of course, my favorite part of your post here was the first picture at the Art Center Booth. I thought, oh those pink polka dot books are so cute! This is a comic book convention??
Where is Tim in costume? Please tell me he went as a storm trooper or Homer Simpson or something, and was just too embarrassed to be photographed as such.
Good question, Liz! Actually, Tim went as Mystique from X-Men, and then chose to take the form of "Tim" for the day. :-) (Or so he informs me...)
I think he should have gone as slave girl leia.
