California or Bust: Day 8

Okay, we're on to Day 8 now, and don't worry -- MUCH fewer pictures, hahaha!

We woke refreshed on the morning after the wedding, checked out of the hotel, and drove to a local reception hall for a post-wedding brunch.  I don't really know what's happening here with Tim, but of course I included this photo:

There was more clapping when Kate and Jacob entered the building, and after greeting lots of folks, they got a little cuddle time with the newest Anderson:

He seemed very excited to make the acquaintance of the newlyweds.  He was also VERY excited about Tim's doughnut, which he repeated tried to attack:

And Weston, of course, embraced his inner goofball for the camera once again:

I think this is one of my favorite pictures of him from the trip:

Anyway, we didn't want to leave, but we eventually had to say goodbye to even MORE friends.  (Hope you guys are having fun on your whirlwind tour of Europe!!!)  We also had to say goodbye to the Pacific Ocean:

After a quick, 100% necessary stock-up stop at Trader Joe's, we hit the road again for Utah.  However, due to a lengthy bathroom break at Art Center (we ended up exploring the whole building while passing by Pasadena), and due to all of our other meals and stops, our GPS's arrival time in Salt Lake City seemed to get later and later.  When it reached 4 AM, we realized that we needed a plan.  So, even though we were originally going to make the whole drive in one day, we ended up stopping in St. George for the night.  I'm so glad that we did!!  It was another hotel bill, but we were SO exhausted.

Yes, Tim does have the amazing ability to sleep sitting upright. It's a gift, I guess.
